Conversations to Remember event Go to Chapter
Hi,
The Pepperdine chapter of Golden Key International Honor Society invites you to attend an upcoming information session with Conversations to Remember, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting older adults (including those living with cognitive decline) with people to combat social isolation and loneliness through intergenerational friendship.
What Is the Program?
Volunteers participate in weekly one-hour virtual visits with the same older adult, building meaningful, ongoing relationships through conversation and shared life updates. Visits take place via video call, can occur anywhere with internet access and are scheduled at the same day and time each week.
Why Participate?
- No commuting required
- Accessible for homebound seniors
- Relationship-focused (not activity-based)
- Flexible and consistent scheduling
Volunteer Commitment
- 1 hour per week
- Minimum 16-week commitment
- 2 hours asynchronous training + 1 hour virtual simulation
This is a meaningful and flexible way to give back while building genuine cross-generational connections.
Date: Wednesday, March 11
Time: 1:00 PM PST
