"Golden Key's mission is to enable members realize their potential through the advancement of academics, leadership and service," said William Asbury, Golden Key International Honour Society's Board Chair. "One of the ways Golden Key makes an impact on campuses around the world is by providing chapters with resources to help members become more involved. Partnering with GIN and providing the GIN Systems will provide chapter websites and Facebook Fan Pages for all of our North American chapters. As a member-driven Society, we felt that this was the perfect solution that allows our chapters the ability to make an even greater impact on their campuses and in their local communities."
With database and billing integration for each chapter's web-based members-only system ("GIN System"), Golden Key members will have one central portal from which to access e-mail and text messaging groups, online calendar, secure file sharing, announcements, surveys, voting, alumni communication, and other tools designed to simplify chapter communication. Members will also be able to access their Billhighway accounts and update their contact information from inside their GIN System, simplifying payments and communication with Golden Key headquarters.
A custom Facebook Fan Page tab for chapters gives each chapter an enhanced presence on Facebook. Much like a website inside of Facebook, the custom pages will allow chapters to communicate information with groups outside of their chapter, including potential members and campus professionals. The Fan Page tab will link to the various pages of the Golden Key International website that the organization would like to highlight.
