The University of Stellenbosch Chapter believes in excellence and strives to provide the best environment possible for guiding our Golden Key members to achieve in academics, leadership and service. The University of Stellenbosch, was chartered September 5th, 2000, as a part of Southern Africa Region, which includes institutions all over Southern Africa. The chapter was the 2nd chapter founded in South Africa with a presence on both the Stellenbosch and Tygerberg campuses. The chapter is proudly maintaining a Key chapter status. In addition to all of the valuable membership benefits, discounts, and opportunities at both the local chapter level and the society level, the University of Stellenbosch gives special recognition by listing Golden Key membership on each member's transcript. Members also have the option of being recognised during graduation by wearing an embroidered graduation stole as well as the lapel pin and graduation medallion for photo opportunities (available for purchase). Furthermore, current members can join the Executive Committee which serves as a stepping stone to further roles on the International Council of Student Leaders (ICSL), International Council of Advisors (ICoA) and International Leadership Council (ILC).
