As an undergraduate at the University of Connecticut, Becky created her own individualized major, Writing in Society. This major included classes in English, communication, journalism, and publishing, revolving around various forms of written communication. She then moved to the outskirts of Washington, D.C., to pursue a career in publishing.
Becky's first professional job, as an editor at a nonprofit society, had her overseeing the production of several aerospace journals. During that time she enrolled in the English M.A. program at George Mason University to study Professional Writing and Rhetoric. It is here that she was accepted into Golden Key International Honour Society for her hard work and commitment to her studies. She currently works as a Project Manager at a typesetting company where she manages the copy-editing, typesetting, compilation, and delivery of nine scholarly journals.
In her spare time Becky enjoys good food, good music, volunteering in libraries and theaters, and traveling. Becky has been to many countries including Greece, Germany, and Colombia. Her biggest goals at the moment are to finish school, visit Peru, and continue to expand her knowledge about publishing.
