When I first arrived at UNH in 2008, I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do with my degree, and I came in as a Psychology major. I liked the field of psychology, but I became so passionate about my courses in English and Women's Studies that I eventually ended up as a double major in these fields, with a minor in Psychology. I am now a TA for a Women's Studies course, as well as balancing schoolwork and a job, and soon hopefully volunteering at a women's clinic. I thoroughly enjoy all my coursework, which makes it a lot easier to balance. I think that Golden Key is a strong community of like-minded individuals who feel the same way about their work, and I enjoy being a part of this.
Golden Key helps me stay connected to my community by giving me more opportunities to network and volunteer, and keeps me updated on graduate school and available scholarships, so that I can achieve my future career goals.
I hope that after college, I can pursue a master's degree in social work or counseling, focusing on GLBTQ+ youth and women, or follow my love of literature towards a master's(and hopefully Ph.D.) in English Literature, so that I can fulfill my wish to be a lecturer at a New England college like UNH.
