GEICO LIFE SCHOLARSHIP
Postmark Deadline: 2 April 2007 Description: This award recognizes outstanding members who achieve academic excellence while balancing additional commitments such as family and/or career.
Scholarships Available: Ten - $1,000(USD) awards.
Eligibility: Those eligible are undergraduate student members who have completed at least 12 credit hours since returning to the university. He or she must be enrolled at the time of application and must be working toward a baccalaureate degree.
Criteria: Academic achievement, extracurricular activities and family and/or career commitments.
Application requirements:
1. Read application procedures and follow directions to Register your intent to apply (Must have your Golden Key membership number).
2. Print out the Cover Page from the On-Line Registration and use as cover pages for entire application.
3. Attach the following required documentation:
A personal essay of no more than 500 words describing your educational goals, other commitments you may have, and the obstacles you have overcome to achieve academic excellence.
A letter of recommendation from either an employer or a professor in your major field of study.
An official academic transcript.

MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP
Postmark Deadline: 16 October 2006
Description: The scholarship pays for one semester of free tuition to attend Macquarie University- Sydney. Students will be responsible for travel, living, visa and all other associated costs.
Scholarships Available: One scholarship which will pay for one semester (20 February - 30 June) of free tuition at Macquarie University.
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to all U.S. and Canadian citizens who are: a) currently attending college or university in North America and b) a member in good standing of the Golden Key International Honour Society. The applicant will be chosen on the basis of both academic and Golden Key Chapter performance. Application requirements:
1. Read application procedures and follow directions to Register your intent to apply (Must have your Golden Key membership number).
2. Print out the Cover Page from the On-Line Registration and use as cover pages for entire application.
3. Attach the following required documentation:
The printed and complete Study Abroad Application
A personal essay of no more than 500 words relating how this study abroad experience at Macquarie University will augment your Golden Key experience.
One letter of recommendation from each of the following:
- A faculty member in your major field of study or other area of study.
- Your Golden Key International Honour Society chapter advisor stating the level of your involvement in the chapter.
A personal résumé that includes the following information:
- List of universities attended, degree(s) with dates received, and academic attainment (cumulative GPA, WAM or academic percentage).
- List of extracurricular activities detailing involvement in campus and community service, including any involvement in Golden Key. Please have this list (as much as reasonably possible) verified (signed) by knowledgeable official(s) who can attest to the activities listed. Please clearly indicate each official’s name, title and e-mail address. These can be handwritten clearly on the résumé.
- List any work history.
- List any special circumstances, including family commitments
An official academic transcript.

SALLIE MAE MEMBERSFIRST SOURCE FOR EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
Postmark Deadline: 15 June 2007
Scholarships Available: Three - $5,000(USD) scholarships.
Eligibility: Those eligible are student members in the United States who are currently enrolled in a full-time or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university. Must be a member of Golden Key as of the application deadline date listed above.
