Golden Key Has a New Look
2008 is off to a great start for Golden Key Headquarters! We are improving in many areas, and with that, we have also improved our look. We are happy to announce that the launch of a new and improved Golden Key website. Please take a moment to check out the redesigned site, which not only is enhanced in appearance, but in usability.
- Members and visitors are now able to view information and benefits according to region

Society Leadership Elections are just around the corner! Applications will be available in March for positions on the International Leadership Council, Council of Student Members and Council of Advisors. A special thanks to the University of Missouri-St. Louis chapter for their hard work and willingness to send representatives to the National Convention of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) held at Union Station in St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, February 16. Mary Ann Coker and Lindsay Mae Ruhl were among two of four student members representing all College Honor Societies at a student panel during the Annual Meeting. |

 Think Big This Year and Register Early
We are excited to announce that the 2008 Golden Key International Conference Registration is NOW OPEN! We are pleased to offer our early bird registrants a special $329 (USD) registration rate until 15 May 2008. Hotel reservations are separate from conference registration this year. 2008 Literacy Showcase
Golden Key is ready to "think BIG" in Literacy at this year's International Conference. The Literacy Showcase will go BIG this year by changing its format from trifolds to multimedia presentations. Participants will be asked to create a multimedia presentation showcasing their literacy efforts through photographs, video clips and event information. Look out for more details from your Associate Director this March. Start thinking BIG today! |

 Support Literacy through Better World Books
Run a book drive with our partner, Better World Books, and support literacy around the world! Don't wait till the last minute - now is the time to start planning an end-of-semester book drive on your campus. Not only is a book drive a great service project, but it's also an excellent fundraiser for your chapter! Never run a book drive before? Don't worry! Better World Books will supply everything you need to be successful, including all marketing, collection and shipping materials, as well as lots of know-how and personal support.  Golden Key Staff Supports Literacy in Atlanta, Georgia
In an effort to model our global literacy focus, the US University Relations team visited the students of the Explorers program at the Bobby Dodd Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. The mission at the Bobby Dodd Institute is to empower people with disabilities and disadvantages to maximize their potential by securing economic self-sufficiency, independence and integration into society.
On 30 January 2008, the US University Relations team worked one-on-one with a group of students with disabilities to help them create a family tree and discuss the importance of family. They also collaborated with the students on a word association activity designed to assist them when filling out an employment application. It was a great visit and a truly rewarding experience. The US University Relations team hopes to visit with the students of the Explorers program again soon! |

The Boeing Company is hiring for Summer 2008 internships. Because of our unique relationship with Boeing, they are offering special consideration for Golden Key members who are currently Engineering majors. To take advantage of this special consideration, please follow the steps below:
1. Indicate that you are a member of "Golden Key International Honour Society" on your resume.
2. Visit the Boeing College Careers website.
3. Apply directly for any Boeing Engineering internships that are of interest to you.
4. Email the name of position(s) applied for, the requisition number and your resume to parnerships@goldenkey.org. Deadline is Friday, 7 March 2008.

Alumni Highlights |
 Justin Jones-Fosu graduated Magna Cum Laude from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland in 2006, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. Justin is currently obtaining his MBA specializing in Leadership and Organizational Change from the University of Baltimore/Towson University MBA Program.
Justin is an entrepreneur, an inspirational speaker and a community leader. Justin is the President/CEO of JS Training Solutions, a training and development company that conducts dynamic, relevant, results-driven and interactive workshops/seminars on leadership development, professional development and career preparation. Justin has just been named as one of Ebony Magazine's 30 Young Leaders on the rise for 2008 (February 2008 issue) and as University of Baltimore's Distinguished Student Entrepreneur of the Year (2008).
