Bruce comments, "I am very honored to receive this award. The Chapter at McGill is totally run by the wonderful students. From time to time I get to “run interference” for them when we need to coordinate with some university policies, or toss a few ideas on the table when we undertake a special initiative such as the 2009 CanCon. Mostly I see my role as providing moral support, a link to the GK central administration, and an additrional voice to support their aspirations and initiatives. I do not yet know how I will use this prize, for which I deeply thank my nominators, but attending future regional and international meetings is high on the list of priorities (we use chapter funds exclusively for student support)."
