Thomas comments, "Winning this scholarship proves to me that ideas, like education, do not end in the classroom. By taking the information that was taught to me by great instructors such as Prof. Defelice and Dr. Amundsen, I was not only able to write a paper on building green, but I was actually able to renovate an existing house to make it energy efficient and environmentally friendly. These scholarships prove that there is a practical learning experience from our course studies that can be transformed into real life.
