Kevin comments, "In October 2009, I will be attending the Imperial College London, one of the top schools in the United Kingdom. Receiving this award has provided me this great opportunity to obtain not only a great education, but also to live in one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. The study abroad scholarship, along with many other such awards helps to build future leaders who are both knowledgeable and well-rounded. And only such global citizens can truly contribute to this ever globalizing world." |

Emma comments, "Traveling and volunteering in Africa is something I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. Earlier this year a friend and I decided that this summer we would finally go for it. I will be using this award to cover some of the costs of my trip to Kunya Village in Kenya. As well as use a portion of the funds to purchase much need supplies for the Mama and Dada Program, with which I was working. I am having an awesome time living in the rural village and spending lots of time playing with the children. Thank you so much for the Canadian Study/ Volunteer Abroad Scholarship." |
