SASOL GOLDEN KEY EXCELLENCE AWARDS APPLICATIONS 2010 NOW OPEN
Purpose
The purpose of this programme is to recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of Golden Key members in South Africa.
Awards
3 winners (1 in each category) will each receive a R13 000 award and a certificate. The winners will be announced at the Golden Key South African Seminar 2010 Gala event hosted by the University of Pretoria, 25 September 2010 at the Voortrekker Monument.
The Awards are cash-based and will be paid directly to the winner as soon as proof of registration for 2011 is received. If proof of registration is not received by 15 March 2011, the award will be forfeited and passed on to the 2nd place winner in the same category.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Sasol Golden Key Excellence Awards, the applicant must:
- Be a member of Golden Key International Honour Society.
- Be enrolled in a full-time degree course at a university in South Africa.
- Be in the final year of their first degree.
- Complete the online application and, if selected, submit all required application materials.
- Plan to continue post-graduate studies in 2011.
- Be a South African citizen.
Adjudication Criteria
The applications will be judged by a panel. The following set of criteria will apply in all rounds:
25% - Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated leadership on and/or off campus
25% - Service Excellence: Involvement in community service initiatives
50% - Academic Excellence: Sustained academic achievement
Application Process
ROUND 1 - All eligible members will complete the online application form.
Deadline: 13 August 2010
ROUND 2 - Selected candidates will be invited to submit supporting documents. (These students will receive the necessary information via email before/on 18 August 2010).
