Description: This grant allows members to conduct thesis research and/or present their research at professional conferences or student research symposia.
Scholarships Available: At least ten $1,000 (USD) awards will be presented each year (at least four for the 15 October deadline and at least six for the 1 April deadline).
Eligibility: Undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate members who are currently enrolled in classes in a degree-granting program may apply.
Criteria: Academic achievement and quality of research or presentation as determined by the selection committee.
Application requirements:
1. A description of the proposed research presentation and documented evidence of invitation to present at a specified professional association conference or research symposia. In the case of requesting a grant for honors thesis research, submit documentation supported by the thesis advisor that explains the how this grant money will be used.
2. A budget that summarizes the overall cost of attending the conference or how the grant money will be used to support research for an honors thesis.
3. A current and comprehensive official academic transcript.
