Description: This award recognizes US members who excel in the study of engineering.

Scholarships Available: Two (2) undergraduate and two (2) graduate winners will each receive $10,000 (USD).

Eligibility: Undergraduate and Master’s level graduate students in the United States who are currently enrolled in classes in a degree-granting program or members who will be enrolled in classes at an accredited institution during the calendar year immediately following the granting of the award.*

Criteria: Academic achievement, demonstrated leadership qualities, quality of paper/report/project submitted.

Application requirements:

1. Follow the instructions to Register Your Scholarship Application. During this process you will be prompted for an ACCESS KEY. The ACCESS KEY is GKIHS.

2. Print out the cover page from the online registration and use it as a cover page for your entire application.

3. Attach the following required documentation:

An engineering related paper/report/project you have prepared. The submission must not exceed 10 pages of text.

A personal résumé or curriculum vitae.

A letter of recommendation from ONE of the following:

a) A faculty member in your major field of study.
b) A faculty member who is familiar with your minor field of study or other areas of interest.
c) A university official familiar with your involvement in the university.

A current and comprehensive official academic transcript.

*NOTE: Proof of enrollment in your program of study will be requested upon granting of the award if the transcript submitted does not reflect that the member is currently enrolled in classes.
