Description: The Golden Key Community Service Award recognizes at least one member for outstanding service to the community.
Scholarships Available: At least one award totaling $2,000 (USD): $1,000 to the recipient and $1,000 to the charity of the recipient’s choice.
Eligibility: Undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate members who were enrolled as students during the previous academic year. More than one member from each chapter may apply for the award, and projects submitted may be either individual or chapter efforts.
Criteria: Impact of service provided as determined by the selection committee.
Application requirements:
1. A statement of no more than 500 words describing the service project and your philosophy of community service.
2. A letter of recommendation from a representative of the beneficiary of the service.
3. A list of extracurricular activities detailing involvement in other campus and community service, including any involvement in Golden Key. Please be sure to include the total number of service hours you performed during 2010. Also list any work and family commitments.
