Eligibility: Golden Key members of an Asia-Pacific chapter currently enrolled in university.

Criteria: Academic achievement, community service efforts, application form, essay.

2. Attach the following required documentation:

An essay of no more than two pages describing the literacy-service work that you have been involved with and how this has benefited the group that you have targeted. Include information on any mentoring or tutoring that you have facilitated and any work performed in disadvantaged communities.

A letter of recommendation from the charity or group that you have worked with recognizing your previous and ongoing involvement.

An official academic transcript.

This award precedes Ian Thorpe's Fountain for youth Week, 1-7 September 2008, and runs concurrent with the National Literacy and Numeracy Week 2008.
