HOW REGIONS EARN POINTS PRIOR TO CONFERENCE START
1. Submit to EARN! Two (2) Multimedia Literacy Showcase submissions from your region will earn points for your region – due 15 May 2008.
2. Enter a video in the Golden Key YouTube Video Contest – due 1 June 2008.
3. Win the YouTube Video Contest.
4. Increase the numbers! Bring more regional delegates in comparison to the 2007 International Conference.
5. Volunteer! More volunteers from a region will generate more points. Please email Holly DeLaura if you are interested in volunteering - sign up by 15 May 2008.
6. Launch a group on MyGK for delegates from your region who are interested in and/or attending the conference. Bonus points for 25+ members from your region in that group. (Note: the members must be from your region)
7. Share a conference fundraising success story/plan from a chapter in your region on the MyGK group: FUNDRAISING: International Conference 2008.
HOW REGIONS WIN POINTS DURING SPECIFIC SPIRIT EVENTS
Opening Ceremony:
- Cheers (clear, short, energetic, fun)
- Costume/dress that represents your region and clearly identifies delegates as being from that region and/or creates unity for the region
- Regional colors have been assigned and will be used at the Opening Ceremony and throughout the weekend:

Friday Luncheon:
Cheer/shout of support when your regional chapter status is read out at the Friday luncheon (regions will be grouped together for this event).
Overall Conference Spirit:
Innovation and imagination are encouraged; however, we want to see activities that do not encroach on other delegates (yelling or cheering at inappropriate times) or create needless paper waste (no post-it notes please, keep it GREEN).
