Opening Session: Join Golden Key members from around the globe as we have a “send-off” party for International Conference 2009. The popular Regional Spirit Parade will be back again this year, and attendees will enjoy a special welcome from the University of Central Florida Golden Key Chapter. “Captain” John Mitchell, Golden Key’s CEO, will welcome members aboard as Golden Key embarks on this year’s theme, “Be the Captain… Your Ship is Waiting.”
The keynote speaker for the evening will be Mike Wuergler, a Senior Consultant for FranklinCovey. Prior to joining Franklin Covey, Mike served in various executive suites in the motion picture and television production industries. He was a producer of syndicated television programming at Walt Disney Productions as well as a member of Disney’s Show Development Team for Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Those who know Mike describe him as dynamic, motivating, and very, very entertaining. He joins International Conference 2009 to teach audience members life-changing principles to help us determine our highest priorities and achieve desired results. Mike is sure to motivate you to reach your goals, both personally and through Golden Key. |

Friday Awards Luncheon: After a motivating evening on Thursday, International Conference invites you to “dock for lunch.” We invite you to take part in recognizing the outstanding achievements of the Society’s chapters, leaders and members. The luncheon will feature Dr. Henry Daniell, a professor in the Department of Molecular Biology & Microbiology, at the College of Medicine at the University of Central Florida. Daniell’s accomplishments are many. In 2004, he was elected to the Italian Academy of Sciences becoming the 15th American to be elected in two centuries. (Other academy members include Albert Einstein and Benjamin Franklin.) Dr. Daniell’s message will focus on his ground-breaking global medical research and will highlight his professional journey that can translate to both your academic and personal pursuits. |

Saturday Service Luncheon & Service Projects: Engaging in the world around us, becoming active citizens and investing in bettering our communities are all things that Golden Key values and encourages. In an effort to reflect this, the Saturday Service Luncheon will showcase service and the impact that it can have. As we eat, and prepare for our afternoon of giving back, we will hear the motivating story of Myron Rolle, an All-American on the Florida State University football team, who was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship after graduating college in only two and a half years!
After lunch, we will venture out into the city of Orlando to take part in a rewarding afternoon of volunteerism. |
