The Washington Center
The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars (TWC) is an educational nonprofit organization serving hundreds of colleges and universities in the U.S. and other countries by providing selected students and recent graduates with challenging opportunities to work and learn in Washington D.C. Many of The Washington Center's 35,000 alumni are leaders in numerous professions and nations around the world.

The Washington Center maintains a vital role in service to society as a whole, developing the workforce of the future and encouraging all of its participants to be informed, public spirited and civically engaged. The Washington Center's diverse, highly-motivated interns contribute significantly to their placements in governmental agencies, businesses and nonprofit organizations, and they often prove to be of longer-term interest as prospective employees. While completing their full-time internship, Washington Center students take an academic course and participate in programming activities including lectures, community service, embassy visits and special tours. Students typically receive a full semester’s or term’s worth of credit from their home institutions—and gain invaluable real-world work experience.
