International WaterCentre (IWC)

International WaterCentre (IWC) is the business centre for building international capacity in integrated water management. IWC undertakes education, training, research and consulting activities to promote whole-of-water cycle approaches to water management. IWC is a Joint Venture of University of Queensland, Griffith University, Monash University and the University of Western Australia. Vision IWC aims to be a leader in promoting new ways of thinking about water management, consciously encouraging people to acknowledge the multi-dimensional nature of future water challenges and the critical role culture, politics and society have in shaping solutions. Recognising that water management requires experts from fields as diverse as sociology, science, economics and engineering, IWC brings together specialists from its four Australian universities and other knowledge partners to tackle water problems through interdisciplinary solutions.

Master of Integrated Water Management program The IWC Master of Integrated Water Management is a practical, problem-based program which equips students with the strategic, integration & managerial skills to join an elite group of water leaders to solve global water challenges.
The program’s multi-disciplinary, whole-of-water cycle approach draws on international practitioners and academics from a range of disciplines from four high-ranking Australian universities.
Full and partial-tuition Water Leader Scholarships are open 1 May – 1 August 2010
The International WaterCentre As a joint venture, IWC provides a breadth of expertise and experience rarely found in a single organisation. The program is managed by IWC and delivered by the four university members. Students enrol at The University of Queensland and upon graduation receive a co-badged degree.
