Optiver

Graduate Opportunities

Optiver is looking for creative, intelligent graduates with excellent numerical skills who wish to become traders. They employ year round and are looking for graduates who wish to work in their Sydney office located in the heart of the CBD, or who are interested in a career in their office in Amsterdam or Chicago.

Traders
The ideal candidate for the graduate Trader role is a penultimate, final/honours year student or recent graduate with a distinction average in one of the following disciplines: Maths, Physics, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Actuarial Studies. Outstanding numerical skills, a passion for finance and the markets and a competitive streak are also required.

Developers
The ideal candidate for the graduate Developer role is a penultimate, final/honours year student or recent graduate with a distinction average in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Systems, Computing or Software Engineering. A creative spirit and a passion for finding clever solutions would be an advantage.

Recruitment Dates

Optiver recruits all year round, but are currently looking for new staff and have four graduate intakes each year which start in January, April, August and October.
