Central Intelligence Agency
The primary mission of the Central Intelligence Agency is to support the President, the National Director of Intelligence, the National Security Council, and all who make and execute US national security policy by: providing accurate, comprehensive, and timely foreign intelligence and also by conducting counterintelligence activities, special activities, and other functions related to foreign intelligence and national security.


The CIA is recruiting for a number of positions from a variety of academic backgrounds.  An applicant is eligible to apply within 12 months of their availability.  Internship applicants are encouraged to apply approximately 9 months prior to the month they wish to begin their internship.

Opportunities
  • National Clandestine Service careers – Collectors and managers of human intelligence. All majors welcome to apply. Field based positions may require 40% foreign assignments during a career.
  • Scientists, Engineers, & Technology careers – Cutting-edge research and hands-on opportunities encompassing a vast spectrum of technology. Requires an engineering or science degree/background.
  • Analytical careers – All source analysis (Political, Military, Economic, Technology, etc). Requires a specialized degree (often at the graduate level) in areas such as: International Relations, National Security Studies, Economics, Science & Engineering, others.
  • Support Services careers – Most diverse career track with positions in Business/Finance, Nursing, Security, Logistics and many more. Looking for expertise in a variety of different academic majors and backgrounds.
  • Foreign Language careers – Examining foreign media and teaching critical foreign languages. Most positions require a high level of proficiency or fluency in a foreign language. Candidates of all backgrounds and majors encouraged to apply.
